Marcos Ramirez has signed with Leopard Racing for 2019, with the Spaniard set to partner Italian Lorenzo Dalla Porta. The move marks a return to the Leopard Racing Team family for Ramirez, who competed with the outfit in 2016 in the FIM CEV Repsol Moto3™ Junior World Championship, challenging for the crown and taking five wins.

Ramirez made his Moto3™ debut in 2014 as a wildcard in Jerez before becoming a permanent fixture mid-way through 2016 and taking two top ten finishes. In 2017, his first full season, Ramirez appeared frequently in the top five and took his first podiums in Germany and Valencia.
The Spaniard has already taken two podiums so far this year and is currently in the top ten in the standings.
“I am very happy to ride again for the Leopard Racing Team, with whom we claimed great results in 2016,” says Ramirez. “I already know the people and their working method, I cannot wait to begin. I am very motivated and I am sure that 2019 will be a fantastic season: together we can fight for the podium and the final victory.”
“We are delighted to welcome Marcos Ramirez into our unit,” says Miodrag Kotur, COO. “In the last few seasons, we have always noted his special skills and abilities. Marcos is a rider with a great talent and we are confident that he will be able to fight for the top positions in the Moto3 World Championship.”
