Leopard Racing have set out their stall early at the SHARK Grand Prix de France, with Dennis Foggia leading a one-two atop the timesheets thanks to a 1:42.184. An impressive run gave the Italian 0.277s to spare over teammate Tatsuki Suzuki, with Andrea Migno and Rivacold Snipers completing a top three Honda lockout.

The sun was shining as the lightweight class completed their first laps of the weekend, making for pleasant conditions as John McPhee (Sterilgarda Husqvarna Max) made his return from injury, with the Scot sitting in P14, one place behind the impressive Jose Rueda (Rivacold Snipers Team). The Spaniard is making his second World Championship appearance in place of the injured Alberto Surra.
Most of the big hitters currently sit inside the provisional Q2 places, with Ayumu Sasaki (Sterilgarda Husqvarna Max) and Kaito Toba (CIP Green Power) the exceptions - a Turn 8 fall not helping the latter’s ambitions in the morning. They’ll of course have another chance to improve in FP2 later on Friday, which sees wheels on the ground at 13:15 CET. Make sure you catch it then!
