The Italian’s only appearance since his Round 1 crash in Portimao was on Friday at the Spanish GP, but Bastianini was forced to withdraw from Jerez because of ongoing pain in his shoulder. Now though, after a three weekend break and a positive test run on a Ducati Panigale V4 S at Mugello since our last outing at the French GP, ‘The Beast’ is set to return to action.
Enea Bastianini: “I really like the Mugello circuit. In the past I have achieved great results, so the goal is to be able to do it also this year. Surely after so many weeks off it won't be easy. I rode here a week ago with the Panigale V4 S and I felt good but obviously with the Desmosedici GP it will be another thing. In any case, I'm motivated. It's our home race and I'm aiming to do well.”
