Marco Bezzecchi leads the runnings into a busy Saturday at the Motul Grand Prix of Japan, with the Mooney VR46 rider’s 1:44.622 seeing him top the standings in Free Practice 2. The Italian had a few tenths in his back pocket too, with Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) next on the timesheets but 0.367s off the pace.
2022 Japanese GP winner Jack Miller rounds out the top three, in what will be a timely boost for the Australian ahead of qualifying and the Tissot Sprint, while title contender Jorge Martin is a little further back in P7 It proved an encouraging session too for Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) as he prepares for Q1, and is the highest placed of the riders who will duke it out for the two Q2 places up for grabs.
