Jaume Masia (Leopard Racing) didn't take long get up to speed at the OR Thailand Grand Prix as the Spaniard's 1:42.318 put him 0.243s clear of the field after a late-session attack. It was Diogo Moreira (MT Helmets - MSI) who got closest to the Honda rider in P2, with an impressive showing from Ryusei Yamanaka (Gaviota GASGAS Aspar Team) who secured himself a spot in the top three.

David Alonso (Gaviota GASGAS Aspar Team) is looking strong from the off as the Colombian was the final rider in the 1:42s in P4. Second in the Championship, Ayumu Sasaki (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP), rounded out the top five, with Daniel Holgado (Red Bull KTM Tech3) down in P10 as he looks to make up ground in the standings.
