Who were the Fantasy Dream Team last time out?
Following his debut victory in the premier class Johann Zarco (Prima Pramac Racing) scored 39 points at Phillip Island, as he came away from Australia having scored more Fantasy points than anyone else. The Frenchman was, therefore, the ideal pick as a Gold rider as he was joined by the 2nd-placed finisher Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team), who scored 35.
Having bagged his first podium in MotoGP™, Fabio Di Giannantonio (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) was the top Silver rider in the Aussie Dream Team for the first time this season thanks to the 27 points the Italian scored. With only one point less, Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) accompanied the Italian following his pole position and 5th-place finish.
Who will shine in Buriram?
The first thing to consider when setting up your Fantasy team is which riders tend to favour the Buriram Circuit. Last year's Grand Prix was a wet-weather affair that saw Miguel Oliveira (CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP™ Team) take victory. The Portuguese rider is definitely one of the men to watch this weekend in Buriram. The Aprilia rider can be a part of your team for just 2M. Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) has also had his fair share of success in Thailand. The Spaniard has already taken two victories in Buriram. In terms of pure speed, the No. 93 is formidable and there is no doubt that he will fight at the front if he manages to put everything together. Currently, the Spanish rider is valued at 2.2M.
Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) can also be one of the major players. The Italian took his first pole in MotoGP™ at this very circuit last year and will be eager to return to the front, having not been on a podium on Sunday since his victory in India. The VR46 rider is currently priced high at 4M but could very well take the spoils come Sunday.
The obvious picks are the title favourites Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin. You can be almost certain both riders will be at the sharp end this weekend but both riders do come with a hefty price tag. Bagnaia can be a part of your team for a whopping 5.2M, with his rival Martin priced at 4.6M.
The stage is set for what has the potential to be another incredible weekend in Thailand. Make sure to join in on all the MotoGP™ Fantasy action throughout the weekend, and ensure you don't miss a thing with the action underway from Friday 27th September on motogp.com!
