Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™) shot to the top of timesheets on Saturday morning at the PETRONAS Grand Prix of Malaysia after his 1:58.960 saw him beat his teammate to the top spot. Franco Morbidelli was just 0.025s behind the Frenchman as he took 2nd place - the Italian is set to face Q1 later on. Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) joined the Yamaha duo inside the top three as he found himself 0.272s away from Quartararo in P3.

All eyes are on the title rivals heading into qualifying. Championship leader Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) finished the session in P7 with his rival Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) down in 10th.
