Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™) flew to the top of timesheets on Saturday at the Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar with qualifying just around the corner. The Frenchman's 1:53.531 saw him beat title contender Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) to the top spot by just 0.073s. Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing) was at the forefront of the drama after some on-track shenanigans with Franco Morbidelli (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™), the Catalan was looking strong though as he took P3.
All eyes are on the title battle heading into qualifying. Championship leader Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) finished the session in 10th place and is looking like he's in the danger zone with his title rival on form in 2nd.
