The final round of the season is underway and it was Daniel Holgado (Red Bull KTM Tech3) who drew first blood at the Gran Premo Motul de la Comunitat Valenciana as he went 0.401s clear following Friday morning's Practice 1 session. Holgado's 1:38.919 came at the end of a dominant display that secured the Tech3 rider the top spot despite a strong showing from David Alonso (GASGAS Aspar Team). The Columbian found strong pace in the latter stages and even topped the pile within the final five minutes but didn't quite have enough in the tank to topple the Spaniard. The pair lead finished ahead of the newly-crowned Champion Jaume Masia (Leopard Racing) - the latter was 0.9s adrift in P3.
